Dandy Krazy Hospitalized After Fatal Road Accident That Claims Four Lives
Renowned Zambian musician Wesley Chibambo, popularly known as Dandy Krazy, is currently hospitalized following a horrific road accident on the Great North Road. The accident, which occurred on December 31, 2024, near the Green Leaf area, tragically claimed four lives and left Dandy Krazy with serious injuries. He is now receiving treatment at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka.
According to Central Province Commissioner of Police Charity Munganga, the crash took place around 19:10 hours and involved three vehicles. A Shacman truck, driven at excessive speed, lost control and collided with a Toyota Allex and a Nissan Hardbody traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Toyota Allex and two passengers were killed instantly, while the Nissan Hardbody driver, who was alone in the vehicle, also died at the scene.
Dandy Krazy was a passenger in one of the vehicles and sustained severe injuries, but he is alive. The driver of the truck and his passenger escaped unscathed and fled after providing their details to police officers. A manhunt has since been launched to locate the truck driver.
The deceased victims, who are yet to be identified, have been taken to the Kapiri Mposhi Urban Clinic mortuary. This tragic incident has left the nation mourning as fans send their prayers and well-wishes for Dandy Krazy‘s recovery. Further updates on his condition and the ongoing investigation are expected in the coming days.
