ZAM Confirms Death of Legendary Producer Chali ‘Bravo’ Mulalami
The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) has confirmed the death of legendary music producer Chali “Bravo” Mulalami, founder of Slingbeats Entertainment. In an official statement, ZAM said Bravo passed away on the evening of March 3, 2026, at Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital after a short illness. His passing has brought sadness across the Zambian music industry, as many remember him as one of the people who helped shape the modern Zambian sound.
Chali Bravo was known for his creativity and for supporting young talent in the industry. He worked with big names such as K’Millian, Mampi, Ty2, General Ozzy and Roberto, among others. He was more than just a producer because he helped create songs that are still loved today. Through its spokesperson Edmond Mbanga Miti, ZAM sent condolences to his family and the entire creative community, describing him as a pioneer whose legacy will continue to live on.
